After your confirmed nomination from MIX, then you can apply to the SNU. They send an online application link and detailed steps of what needs to be completed and when it needs to be completed by. SNU likes to get things done early, so beware that your application may be due during midterms, but most likely a month or two before the semester is over. My application was due during spring break and was given about 3-4 weeks to finish it.
Few things you will need for the application:
1) Online application
- Fill out the asterisk (*) portions to the best of your abilities
- Official Transcript (will take about 5 days)
- Certificate of Enrollment (do this at the same time as your transcript)
- Copy of your passport
- Picture of yourself (a headshot is sufficient)
- Statement of Purpose ( this will take the longest)
- "Why do you want to go to SNU and what will you learn"
- "Why should you be attending SNU"
- You will need to scan and upload all the documents yourself
2) Recommendation Letter
- Make sure to do this as soon as you receive the application email from SNU
as professors may take up to 2 weeks to finish your letter.
- Be sure to tell your professor about the deadline so that they are aware
- You will not scan and upload your LOR, you will either hand it into the MIX
office yourself or your professor will hand it in for you
At the same time you should be doing the MIX orientation checklist online and completing other required documents for MIX, like your Health Clearance.
